Question 1

What is StyleSathi?

Accepted Answer

StyleSathi is an online directory that lists local clothing shops so you can browse products by category and location before visiting a shop in person. It's a discovery platform, not a marketplace — StyleSathi doesn't process any sale, take payment or arrange delivery.

Question 2

How do I find shops on StyleSathi?

Accepted Answer

Open the Shops page and search by name, or filter by province, district, municipality and category. You can also browse by category from the homepage and see which shops carry that type of product.

Question 3

How does location-based shop discovery work?

Accepted Answer

You can choose a province, district or municipality and StyleSathi filters the shop and product listings to that area, or tap "Use My Location" to let your browser share your device's GPS coordinates so shops can be sorted and filtered by actual distance instead. GPS coordinates are only used for that browsing session to calculate distance — they aren't saved to your account or stored in our database.

Question 4

How do product browsing and the Visit List work?

Accepted Answer

You can browse a shop's products by category and add anything you're interested in to your Visit List. The Visit List is a save-for-later tool, not a cart — adding a product doesn't reserve it, and StyleSathi doesn't guarantee availability or price when you get to the shop. Your Visit List is saved to your account, so you can review it any time from My visit list.

Question 5

Can I buy products online through StyleSathi?

Accepted Answer

Not yet. StyleSathi is currently a browse-and-discover platform — there's no online checkout or online payment. Once you've found something you like, you visit the shop in person to see, try on and buy it directly from the seller.

Question 6

How can I contact a shop?

Accepted Answer

Open a shop's page or a product page and use the message button to start a chat with that shop. You'll need to be signed in to send a message, and you can continue the conversation any time from your Messages inbox. Many shop pages also show a phone number and address you can use to reach out or plan your visit.

Question 7

How do reviews work?

Accepted Answer

Anyone can read a shop's reviews without signing in. A signed-in customer can leave one review per shop, with a star rating and a comment. Posting a new review for a shop you've already reviewed replaces your previous one rather than adding a duplicate, and you can edit or delete your review at any time.

Question 8

How do sellers register their shop?

Accepted Answer

From the Register your shop page, create a seller account and enter your shop's name, category, address, phone number and opening hours, and pin your shop's location on the map. Once submitted, your shop is reviewed for verification before it appears to customers.

Question 9

How do sellers add products?

Accepted Answer

After signing in to your seller account, go to your seller dashboard and add a product with its name, category, price, sizes, colours and photos. You can edit or remove a product at any time, and changes are reflected on your shop's public page right away.

Question 10

How does shop verification work?

Accepted Answer

Every new shop starts with a "pending" status and is only visible to its own seller while it's reviewed. Once approved, a shop's status changes to "verified" and it becomes visible to customers in shop listings and search. A shop can also be marked "rejected" if it doesn't meet the listing requirements — in that case it stays visible to the seller, with a note on what to fix.

Question 11

How does the shop QR code work?

Accepted Answer

Every seller dashboard includes a QR code that links straight to your shop's public page on StyleSathi. You can download it as an image or print it to display at your shop — when a customer scans it, it opens your shop's page so they can browse your products online.

Question 12

How is my data handled?

Accepted Answer

StyleSathi collects account details (name, email, phone), shop information for sellers, and the content you create — product listings, messages, reviews and your Visit List — to run the platform. Your location is either the province, district and municipality you choose, or — if you use "Use My Location" — your device's GPS, used only to sort and filter nearby shops for that browsing session and not stored in our database. See the Privacy Policy for full details on what's collected and how it's used and protected.
